Branding – IUPUI Multicultural Center Headers

The following headers were designed in either Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator as part of my role as the Lead Scholar of Social Justice Education. I have been helping the Multicultural Center, which houses my scholarship program, this summer by designing various items for the upcoming school year.

While you can see that some of these designs took longer than others, I did put a lot of thought into each and every one. It’s important to me that the font headers, which will be used on flyers, posters, and more, accurately portray the brand of each month or event it represents.

Asian heritage month-01
Asian art is known for its curves and floral patterns. I attempted to evoke the same elegance with this design.
Movie Series-01
A simple header works best for this series of events because the movies shown at each one will be completely different. By keeping this header simple and clean, it will match any film you pair it with.
lgbt history month
I had a lot of fun playing around with gradients while making this design. I like a playful, sketchy font I found for this header. The rainbow is not only symbolic of the pride flag but also the colorfulness of this community in general.
women's history-01
For Women’s History Month, I incorporated the symbol for female and emphasized the subject by choosing to make “Women’s” a strong, bold font.
YGB Header-01
This event series had previously used a different theme for every promotion. To keep things cohesive and build a brand, I went for a modern approach and mixed it up with different thoughts.
